It's the fuzzy blurb in the centre. The moon is out right now...I might
try again after it sets. ![]() -- We must change the way we live, or the climate will do it for us. |

Bob ^,,^ lol...I know how you feel....I've been waiting at least two weeks now for a clear night. ![]() -- We must change the way we live, or the climate will do it for us. |

I tried to find it with my telescope but the battery in the finder was dead. I couldn't home in on it without it. ![]() -- We must change the way we live, or the climate will do it for us. |

I can pick it out easily now. -- Ann, snowlover, south of Boston, Mass. e-mail address is not checked ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |

It's an "early Holmes" :-) Well if you insist...also taken just after its first brightening with the Canon cheap 70-300 hence the proliferation of blue bands around the brightest stars. No longer visible to the unaided eye 40 km west of Calgary Sunday morning (looking for meteors-space weather eh) but still quite nice in my 15 x 70's. jim |

"Cloud Dreamer"
Thanks for Both Shots. I've been watching Comet Homes 1 for several weeks now. But I really liked the High Sirius Clouds you caught in the second image. Crazy Ed |

Curious - What is a "Bynostar 130-900 Newton" ? Crazy Ed It's a Newtonian telescope (the one with the mirror in it). Has a diameter of 130 mm (5.12 inch) and a focal length of 900 mm (35.43 inch). Conditions that night were not really good, so photo is not that clear. But even though it's a "cheap" telescope, I can make great shot's with it, see http://astro.3dart4u.com/albums/user..._1023_full.jpg. It's a high res shoot of the moon, mosaic made out of 40 seperate images. Menno |
