Free(donate)ware Megatrack http://weather.rudis.net/megatrack/

From its Sourceforge entry

http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...roup_id=118048

Search results for megatrack

MegaTrack is a Java application for hurricane and tropical storm
tracking for Atlantic and eastern Pacific storms.

This is freeware but the installation instructions should be read
carefully. JStrack is actually a script which requires another
program to operate. It downloads reports from the national
Hurricane Center ftp site and plots them on an included map. It
covers the Atlantic, Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico storms. At the
present time , the NHC ftp server is not responding.

The connection to the NHC ftp server is working again although the
webmaster blamed the outage on my firewall. I could not even
connect from the NHC web page. I did not change any firewall
settings.

Earl/Dutch-

I use a program called Global Tracks. It costs $55 but the guy who's
creating it takes suggestions for future patches to improve the program.

Also, he is currently overseas, I believe with the US Army... so buying
the software is a great way to support him. Go to www.extremewx.com to
check it out.
