Default OT AVG ?

Is anyone else having trouble downloading todays update? Both computers
have now got the toolbar icon greyed out saying new update ready. Then
the message 'the requested download could not be found on the server'
etc comes up. It can be downloaded from the Grisoft site, but why won't
it 'install'?

Thanks Victor,

My main PC I have reached the point (probably about a month ago realy),
of re blowing. Format disk and reinstall XP Pro. It is grossly unstable
and crashes for no apparent reason 2 or 3 times a day now. Firefox also
crashes + I get crashes with Excel. :-0 I only hope it's not a hardware
problem, many error messages suggest driver problems. I wish I knew a
process of elimination, but if a clean install works, then all well and
good, if it doesn't it must be hardware.

I intend to migrate my Synop stuff onto my laptop before I hit the self
destruct button. I will save my WMII data and unplug, so this maybe
offline for a couple of days. Time is becoming an issue for me atm.

Anyway, I thought maybe AVG was another one to add to the list, but
probably not this time.

My AVG also downloaded earlier so I tried a manual download and it work
fine. Perhaps it was a temporary glitch.

Had the same problem last night - I went to the AVG internet site and
manually downloaded the latest update, then installed the update from the
desktop - that worked OK.

If so, the glitch seems to be back this morning. It's still unable to do
the update that it couldn't do yesterday evening. Are you using version
7 of the Free Edition, as I am?

That may hold the clue. I have had no problems but I have a paid-for
version. IIRC, they have different priority queues for the two versions.
