Give it 24 hours and you'll be able to knock about 10C off that.

You seem to have suffered from premature ejaculation.

Interestingly enough the temperature here near Newcastle upon Tyne crept up
to 5.7 Deg C last night at about 6 pm from a 2.1 an hour earlier. What's
that all about?

A bit of warm air trapped ahead of the cold front. I had the same. Now the
cold front is coming through with a rush of air and the temp is now 4C. It
was 6.5C at 9.00 am.

Gavin.

This is the problem when media forecasters get so over-excited at
severe weather a few days ahead that they cant even be bothered to
inform people that "well actually before the cold weather, snow, hail,
end of the world, are you really prepared? etc. etc. it is going to me
quite mild for 12-18 hours on Thursday."

I put it down to lunatics being in charge of the asylum ;-)
