2145

Continuous light snow now for the past hour or so with the odd heavier burst of
hail. Top of car now white and frozen and snow settling and sticking on grass.
Temperature 0.8 deg C, dewpoint -1 deg C and it feels bloomin cold with that 20
knot NW wind. Might wander up the hill later onto the moor when it gets heavier
to see the lie of the land as it were.

Will.

2150Z. Just spotted something that looked suspiciously like a bit of sleet.
Sledge still on, err, ice.

Wowee "top of car white and frozen" how interesting. Will good
forecaster maybe but the relatively lowland of Devon is hardly the wild
frontier and your weather reports from Haytor are pretty boring. Come
to think about it so are you.

All the best

Dartmoor is hardly "lowland", at least by English standards. I - and I'm
sure many others - find Will's reports (and his enthusiasm) interesting.

Good for you John, if you like being a sycophant that is. I live at
200m, with the ground immediately above us rising to 650m. However I
don't regale you all with tales of my adventures and weather
experienced.. Will is an excellent forecaster but basically up
himself. Just my opinion obviously.

Well you should regale us with your tales of your adventures and
weather experiences. I'm sure we would them most interesting!

There's a lot of talk on this group regarding detailed discriptions
of weather conditions that I'm sure your average person would
find most tedious. But we're not average people, we're weather
enthuthiasts! I'm not sure why you have a problem with this.
