I'm not sure how meaningful this is. The station-level pressure
at 0000Z was 965 mb from the upper-air sounding. The station is at
2440 ft, 741 m. It's true that extrapolation to sea-level at about
-43°C gives the stated pressure but presupposes a layer of cold air
over 100 mb thick. In the hypothetical absence of the mountains that
layer may well not be there.
The mean station-level pressure at Ojmjakon in December is 925 mb
so the pressure is certainly very high. The current QNH at Jakutsk
(62N, 129E, 101 m) is 1051 mb. It's about 450 miles west of Ojmjakon,
and the synoptic-scale gradients are very slight at the moment.
