Well sure sure you can, and the sight of the Milky Way or even just
a full moon glittering on a frosty night is spectacular.
However you can't get 'up close and personal' with astronomy as
you can with meteorology, and ultimately that makes the difference
for me.

Aim it on to Saturn and then Jupiter and you'll see several of Jupiter's
moons... Then start looking at other galaxies... Andromeda is lovely - then
go hunt other Messier objects...

TASCO
40-114675
D-114MM
F=900MM

Lenses SR4MM
H20MM
H12.5MM

Barlow Lense 3X


Can see excellent pictures of moon but if you put barlow lense on
doesnt seem to focus , what sort of detail of planets could we
expect to see with this setup?

there,s a NG on yahoo of people who like to photograph the moon.....its
own fan club...
