The 12Z run looks quite wintry..quite a change from the previous runs
and the Met O Model hints at summats ups as well..

The MetO GM appears to be going the same way but isn't as quick with the
plunge at the weekend. The operational EC data output is again quite
different, particularly with respect to the cyclogenesis developing near
Iceland as signalled on the GFS and the MetO GM. This was picked up by the
earlier EC ensemble data though.

Ether way another plunge look probable, but the timing and severity is
uncertain at this stage.

GFS have been quite consistent with this the last couple days, although
now indicate the 1st northerly blast to be stronger.

The Christmas run shows a mix od NE, E and SE winds. again this has been
consistent, however temps may not be as cold as one would expect at this
range :-(

A lot of runs to go yet.

To be fair Will was only saying this yesterday in his "retrogression" post.
Well spotted again Will. There lies the difference between experience and a
topkarten visitor.

You were hinting at a chance of something more interesting, Will. A brave
call, when none of the models were showing anything much.
I do see a very brief 'Northerly' again, though. Not my cuppa tea... Not
that I'm being selfish... it's just I find they usually disappoint for most,
even the favoured spots, these days, and never lead to a long enough
blocking to influence anything from the East\NE.

Everton Fox calls for a mild xmas

http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweath..._outlook.shtml

Some local frosts before

He's already been struck off TWO's xmas card list

Never before has that song been more appropriate, it's TWO's anthem:

"I'm dreaming of a white christmas" :-D
