uk.sci.weather (UK Weather) (uk.sci.weather) For the discussion of daily weather events, chiefly affecting the UK and adjacent parts of Europe, both past and predicted. The discussion is open to all, but contributions on a practical scientific level are encouraged.

No fighting here, no flaming... just where people prefer to go and perhaps
why

1.uk.sci.weather
2.Theweatheroutlook
3.Netweather
4.Ukweatherworld

Myself i think that uk.sci.weather is at the top of the list underneath that
has to come netweather, i just love the christmas look they have done
and the way they lay the forum threads out. ukweatherworld isnt
as good as it used to be, used to be very scientific based now its
just general discussions. Two comes last for the fact they really need
to sort the forum out its a mess, though the broad range of view points
is nice.

1. uk.sci weather
2. uk.sci.weather
3. uk.sci.weather

Reason: It is the only uk weather newsgroup that I know of. I do not
read any web fora.

If the others ever turn up on Usenet, I will lurk and see ... maybe.

Me too! I don't think I've ever visited any web-based weather forum
although strangely, I do partake in certain music web-based forums.

This is probably due to the ongoing excellence of uk.sci.weather - I
sinply do not feel the need to go anywhere else. It's simply the best!

In the main just here.
I have had the odd urge (!) to lurk elsewhere - but have you read some of
the stuff. It really is a case of sorting the chaff from the chavs.
You forgot to include the bbc message board - or should that be snow board.

1.two
2.uk.sci.weather
never looked at the others

Its two for me at the moment, apart from Will and Darren there isnt much to
read. There isnt really alot of discussion either, get the feeling on here
sometimes that unless you are an expert best not to post.

1. here.
2. TWO

Not looked at the others. Have been on this newsgroup since 1996. TWO is
handy as it is reasonaby well moderated and if you look through the
excitable rampers' posts, there is some extremely useful info posted on
there.

A happy Christmas and a prosperous new year to one and all.

Jim, Bournemouth.
