Default Mild Winter - Loving it?

Anyone else enjoying the mild winter as much as me? I really feel the
cold and normally cannot get warm enough from October to May. These new
mild winters are a blessing for me. I reckon we will have full on spring
weather by Feb this year. Winter is practically done and dusted. Thank god.

It was snowing yesterday!
Winter (in terms of the weather) has barely begun.

Bwech .. I really despise the grey/rainy/gloomy weather with temps
between 5 and 10C we usually have over here in Holland. I'd rather have
the sunny weather with temps below 0 ..

round here we can get the cutting winds that blow for days at the end or
march or april, which are pretty miserable but do dry the ground up a treat.
But April is pretty well a spring month here in South Cumbria

Likewise. I went for a walk yesterday and I noticed that the snowdrops are
out in flower, with the sun shining and temperatures around 12C it was
wonderful. I hope that bitter wind doesn't come back - ever. Roll on
springtime, it cannot come quick enough for me.

Hi, Graham,
I don't like cold either, but in our village it seems that the price to
pay for a mild winter is endless wind.
The wind seems to penetrate our houses more than the cold. I have double
glazing, UPVC doors, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and all the
rest but we still sit in slight but perceptible draught in mild, windy
weather.
As soon as the wind drops it gets colder again, so we can not win.
The colder weather is sunnier and feels warmer!

Best wishes,

Thats like what it is here Nick. Grass is still growing, it feels mild and
forecasts show it getting even milder.

Gavin.
