I've searched this Godforsaken internet long and hard for records of
snow events in Manchester going back 60 years without success. Snow depths would be great, but first-hand accounts would suffice. Even surrounding areas would be fine (as long as on similar or lower elevations) Can anyone recommend any source, either internet or paper, where I might find this information? Thanks in advance. |

I don't know if this helps as a starting point - you may be able to contact
them personally. - Data for Manchester Airport. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/brenda.scragg/wxmthjun.htm 1991 to 2003 - no snow laying at Manchester airport. This site may lead to some links:- http://www.met.rdg.ac.uk/~brugge/bi.html Dave "Henley Leigh-Dooblervey" wrote in message oups.com... Should that perhaps read "no. of days snow lying..."? I find it hard to believe that they could have gone for such a prolonged period with no snow lying. -- John Hall "The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it."
