Default [WR] -RASN and -SN in Canterbury

-RASN at home but at the same time -SN at the University campus, some
60m higher up but only 2km away.

Temperature here is 1.8C, dewpoint 0.5C

Also of note (and this is big news!) is that only 3.0mm more
precipitation is needed over the next 6 days to reach the eLTA for the
area - if it is exceeded, it will be only the second month since
September 2004 that the eLTA has been exceeded (July 2005 was the other
month).

Now -SN both at campus (70m ASL) and home (8m ASL). Temperature at home
is 1.2C with dewpoint of 0.0C. Not really settling - it's not heavy
enough and the ground is totally sodden.

Only 1.3mm more precipitation needed to reach the eLTA (currently at 97%).

It's a little different here a few miles west of Canterbury at Boughton
under Blean. We have had light to moderate snow from 0710 until 1310, when
it suddenly turned to rain. It began to settle at 1100; and a depth of 2 mm
was measured at 1300.

The temp fell to -0 c at 1130. The max temp so far today was 1.9c at 0015.

Rain/snow fall up to 1300 was 4.2 mm.

For a couple of pictures, go to:

http://www.cj4386.demon.co.uk/weather/weather.htm

click on "weather"

Total monthly rain to date: 69.4 mm.

Temperature at 1400 is: 1.4 c.

Wind: N light

Moderate rain.
