How exactly can we go from this from the 1200 forecast for se scotland
:- Summary: Mainly dry with sunny spells, a few snow flurries later. Rest of Today Mainly dry with some sunny spells this afternoon however a few light snow flurries are possible later. Brisk winds. Maximum temperature 4 deg C (39 deg F). Tonight Mainly dry with clear spells. Widespread frost. Light winds. Minimum temperature -4 deg C (25 deg F). To this severe weather warning issued at 17.32 :- Blizzards & Heavy Snow Affecting Clackmannanshire, E Lothian, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Fife, Midlothian & W Lothian Snow showers will continue overnight, these heavy and frequent in places. Accumulations of 1 to 5 cm are likely in some low-lying areas, especially where exposed to the westerly wind, with 10 cm or so over high ground. However, strong winds will lead to blizzards and drifting over high ground. Driving conditions will be dangerous with icy stretches on some surfaces. Issued by Met Office.
