The second link from this Q/A has become out of date (again .. I must
have had to change this at least 3 times since setting it up).

I hope over the winter to put a decode of the METAR as a integral part
of the FAQ series to avoid the 'moving about' of sites .. it's a
question that is always being asked. In the mean-time, the first link
under the subject Q/A does still work and gives a good guide to the
code.
