I see it's a chilly day - all the usual suspects are the coldest:
Stornoway, Benbecula, Shetland, Biggin Hill.

BIGGIN HILL?! A glorious 14c at the moment there.

I suppose we've got to make up for the heatwave!

Richard

Hmm, currently 24.9°C here with a blazing blue sky.

As usual, what applies to SE England, applies to the rest of the UK.

Warm and sunny here in Somerset, and by the way, we have had no rain to
speak of in August so far, and only 6 days of rain in July. Is that a
drought, or are droughts only acceptable in London and the Home
Counties?

John, whilst certain areas of the media are clearly SE-centric I don't see
how either Richard or Joe could be tarred with that particular brush. From
their varied postings, (note Joe's recent excursion to the Indian
subcontinent) I think it's quite the opposite. They just both happen to be
in the London area today, and for that they have my sympathies ;-)

Jon.

Errr - was I applying it the rest of the UK? I thought I was just
pointing out how oddly cold it was. Don't jump to conclusions, Sir !
