Several thunderstorms passing overhead this evening with one currently
depositing torrential rain and lightning every ten to fifteen seconds. A southerly drift has brought high dew point air over New York City over the past 36 hours, ahead of a cold front moving E from the Chicago region - http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/eaus/loop-ir2.html At 23:00 local time it is 21degC and a dew point of 18degC - seems almost balmy given it's October, thank goodness for AC ! http://weather.noaa.gov/weather/current/KJFK.html (JFK Airport METARs) Joe -- Upper East Side, NYC |
