Default Countryfile Forecast interesting for Scots

For those who saw the cf forecast on Landward (if that makes any sense)
did you share my enthusiasm for what would appear to be an interesting
week of wind and frost ahead?

I am sure I heard the pavlovian dog "severe gale in the central
lowlands" phrase too. Calling Wishaw...

ps. and Mr McEl had Aberfeldy on the map too - what a guy.

And did you see he was rubbing his hands together, hardly
able to contain himself with excitement at the prospect of
some 'proper' autumn weather?
Well a slight air frost on Thursday night at least

I didn't see it. Were blizzards in the Cairngorms given a mention for Tuesday
into Wednesday?

Some snow was mentioned over the highest peaks, but the
'B' word wasn't mentioned though

Bit surprised that the MO has not issued an advance severe weather warning
yet. Particularly as this deepening low will be hitting those areas most
affected by last weeks "event".

Didn't see the forecast myself Brian. Had a look at some of the charts
tonight though.
Don't see much evidence for particularly strong winds here.
North westerlies we're greatly sheltered from. Might change mind you, but
doesn't look like it.
Alex.

I can guarantee you a lovely cold spell this weekend. How can I be so
sure, well on Friday I'm off to swelter in 35C in Bombay, and so
capricious are the weather gods I can be certain leaving behind some
lovely cold weather.

Last time I went it snowed enough to shut the A77...

Douglas
