Can anyone tell me where I can find extreme statistics for Yorkshire. e.g.
The highest average annual temperatures, rainfall, sun etc. I am very interested in finding the driest place in Yorkshire. I think the East Riding is favourite. Regards Mag |

The internet is quite handy for current and recent data, but useless for historical stuff ... and likely to remain that way for quite a long time yet. If any website has the capacity to answer your question you can always try a google search, entering keywords like "Yorkshire","rainfall","driest". Sadly, these words don't produce much that's useful, indicating that no website exists with this sort of information. For the time being you are most likely to find answers to your questions by asking here. Philip Eden |

I realise this site doesn't answer all the questions you posed, but it
might be useful as a guide:- http://www.metoffice.com/climate/uk/averages/index.html The 'mapped averages' are particularly pertinent. Martin. |
