Watching it now on the BBC 1 o.clock news, looks the real thing. Requesting
vids or pics of it.

Tipping down here in Solihull.

It must be a posh part of Landan. Either that or the place is near
enough to Berks to qualify as a full tornado rather than the usual mini
versions.

Apparently the original headline did have the dreaded "M" word, as a
collegue sent me an e-mail about the event which did use it. However
when I went to the BBC site it wasn't there. My collegue swears blind
it did originally say it.

The request for footage does. 'Did you witness the mini tornado? Have
you been affected? Send us your comments and experiences using the form
below.'

From my vantage point in Uxbridge, the storm that caused this was very
extreme. It got so dark that streetlights came on. We had a single
close lightning strike ( 0.5 mile).

The sky to the SW is getting dark again, looks like another storm is
on its way.

Footage of the aftermath is being shown on BBC News 24 now (1404) and
they've just had Paul Knightley on.... Roofs missing, walls beaten down,
etc.

The presenter, Kate Singleton, of the 13:00 news described it as a
tornado but the reporter spoilt it by using the 'm' word.

Notice the immense coverage because it was in London. They just
mentioned Birmingham in passing.
