Default Bloody foreigners!

Why do they insist on posting weather reports to a *UK* newsgroup?
Don't they have their own newsgroups to post to?
Do they have problems understanding the *UK* part of uk.sci.weather?
I have NO interest at all in reading reports from Greece, Holland etc.
and I'm many others here agree with me.
Please go away!
Chris Page

I like seeing reports on weather in Europe, and discussions on weather
elsewhere in the world.

I don't like people who sound like curmudgeons.

Anne

Chris, I would look at the charter of uk.sci.weather:
(reproduced from Martins excellent FAQs
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/booty.weather/uswfaqfr.htm

The following is an extract from the Charter for the newsgroup: "This group
is essentially for the discussion of daily weather events, chiefly affecting
the UK and adjacent parts of Europe, both past and predicted..."

I also welcome postings from anywhere in the world.

Me too.
Many thanks Yannis for your wonderful, enthusiastic reports.

Will.

I and probably every other long term poster/lurker would also miss
posts from the likes of Yannis. Please continue and ignore these
imature posts.

I doubt that they have any intellectual problems. I'd suggest that they,
like I, find it interesting.

Then don't read them.

I would like to echo Will's comments and also thank Yannis for the helpful
forecasts emailed to me prior to last year's holiday in Crete.
I fail to understand the attitude of some of the recent "new posters" to
this ng.

I fully support the foreign posts.
Chris and Damien, they have been here for many years now and will continue
for many more.
Fortunately, some other things in life are transitory.

A number of morons have crept into this newsgroup, perhaps if we
ignore them they will have nothing to feed on !

Comments like that have nothing to do with uk.sci.weather and only
have a detrimental effect on our County.

Would normally ignore provocative stuff like this, but I must disagree. I
really enjoy reading reports from anyone, interested enough to want to post
something weather-related. Its other sorts of posts that get on my nerves.
Not the country of their origin.

Yes Chris, please do.

I only lurk here, but I enjoy reading the Greek, Dutch, US (and other) weather
reports that get posted here. I see from running a quick search that in the last
couple of months, you have only managed to contribute (and I use that term
loosely) one post to this group, and even that single post is of complete
irrelevence, making you appear to be little more than a troll.

Paul.

I agree totally with Joe, we are all interested in weather. I normally
don't involve in such threads, but it was unfortunately needed since my
name is quite similar to this guy, and I don't want to be mismatched.
