Another lovely sunny morning. Much hazier today though, and more humid
- ideal for a morning swim.

Temp at noon in Penzance 20.4C.

North coast sea breeze set in around 11:00
Camborne 10:00 18.3C - ESE 2mph
11:00 17.1C - N 6mph

This created some convergence cloud, but it seems to have melted away
again.

Temp at noon in Penzance 20.4C.

Virtually cloud free - warm, still & humid.

22.1C at 14:00 with Force 1 offshore wind. Onshore right on the sea
front where it's nearer 19C

As it's perfect beach weather, anyone heading for Cornwall wanting to
check out the conditions on the beaches, could do a lot worse than
look at
www.a1surf.com/surfcheck-gwithian-report.html

Gives wind direction & force, swell height, period & direction,
temperature etc for the next 3 days for the location of your choice
(in this case Gwithian)

Hi Graham,

My prayers have been answered! According to the BBC weather map, Sunderland
should be under a big black cloud symbol right now... but, guess what? The
haar has disappeared this afternoon, the sun is now out, the sky is blue and
I'm going to be road-testing my new garden chairs just as soon as I've
slapped on the sun cream and grabbed me 'at!

Fingers crossed we get a bit more of this stuff across the weekend... I
reckon we deserve it.

Regards... David Allan.

Ah, Knockholt! Famous for one particular thunderstorm, on
5th September 1958, when an awful lot of water fell in an
inordinately short period ... 131mm in a couple of hours, from
memory.
