Chances are we're in for some significant weather here over the next 24
hours. Still not convinced, as some of these weather warnings over the past couple of days have been not exactly accurate. Looking forward to the rain, hoping that if it does happen, there is no threat to life or damage for anyone. -- David Mitchell, 70m amsl, Langtoft, East Riding of Yorkshire. |

Hard to believe, there isn't any lightning strikes nearby.
I just took this shot, looking to my north-east (here in N Devon) http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...ot/24jun07.jpg The skies have been dark & threatening to my east for a number of hours now. It's all very slow moving out there |

Uhm and I've taken a day of work to go fishing at Risby near Beverley, but come what may I'm still going! Don't worry if you can't get there, line fishing out the car window should reap rewards. If you have a tow bar you might even have a go at trawling. Don't forget some tinfoil, then wrap your catch and attach to the cylinder block ready for tea when you get home - assuming you can get home of course. -- David Mitchell, 70m amsl, Langtoft, East Riding of Yorkshire. |

My brother near Market Rasen in Lincs had recorded 113 mm so far in June. He'd like an opportunity to make hay! -- Jim Backus running OS/2 Warp 3 & 4, Debian Linux and Win98SE bona fide replies to j dot backus the circle thingy jita dot demon dot co dot uk |

Quite dry Jim, 158.9mm to yesterday and an hour til today's reading, so probably 3 or 4 mm to add. -- David Mitchell, 70m amsl, Langtoft, East Riding of Yorkshire. -- David Mitchell, 70m amsl, Langtoft, East Riding of Yorkshire. |

Looking forward to the rain, hoping that if it does happen, there is no threat to life or damage for anyone. Looking at some of the amateur online weather stations in this area, some are already showing large totals. One at Grimsby suggests a total of 21mm by 0830, one west of Hull shows 18mm, one not far from Dave at Lowthorpe reports 11mm and one at Scarborough, 12mm. Wet already and we've no doubt got a good few hours of rain to come.... -- Rob C. Overfield Hull Need 34.3mm to reach 200 for the month Rob, so a fair chance! I suspect we've passed your 176mm total for June 1997. I would expect so by the end of the month Dave... but thats the way of it. -- Rob C. Overfield Hull |
