Half-an-hour ago, I drew the curtains and put the living room light out. As
it now seems to be drawing rapidly towards night-time I think I'll have to put the lights back on, close the curtains and just ignore what's happening outside. -- Graham P Davis, Bracknell, Berks., UK. [Chic Murray, 1919-85] It has on Fair Isle - darned backup battery in my solar-powered Vantage Pro wireless anemometer has also just died! Even 200+% sunshine so far on Fair Isle this month that is not enough. Mind you, with just an average December sunshine of about 17 hrs a couple of 'sunny' days can make an enormopus percentage change. If anyone is interested 2007 on Fair Isle approx 108% rainfall, 101% sunshine and +0.6C, based on my 1974-2000 data. Dave, Fair Isle |
