Default Roadside weather stations

I've just come across the following site. Others may already know about
it:

http://www.trafficweather.info/

It gives access to data from many of the roadside automatic weather
stations around the country.

Sorry about replying to my own posting but I've noticed that the site
includes the AWS on the A537 at the Cat and Fiddle. There was some
discussion on here a while ago about getting access to that.

Looks to have the potential to be more use than the Highways Agency version.
However an awful lot of locations are not enabled at the moment. Seems
rather inconsistent in operation as well. I either have to wait until some
stations appear on the Google Map and then move around the UK or close the
site and then go in again - and wait. I shall try again tomorrow.

Nice one. I found the roadside station just up the road from me at Dromore
Co.Down. Every time I passed it I always wondered if I could get hold of its
data (useful cross reference for me)... only passed it about an hour ago and
will be passing it again in about 30 mins - now I will look upon it in a
diferent light!

Thanks Norman.

Dorset not the nothing unusual about that. Does it cost a
county/authority anything to allow their data to be distributed?

Hugh - Nothing for any of the Ayrshires up here in Scotland either.
There's a weather station on the String Road between Shiskine and
Brodick here on the Isle of Arran. I've often driven past and wondered
if it was possible to get data from it. Perhaps somebody out there
knows somebody in North Ayrshire Council?

Is anyone able to use this with Firefox? For me, it loads up the map,
says "Please Wait..Loading", and then nothing else. It looks like Firefox
thinks there's an error in the javascript.

Ah, thanks - me too. I'm in Linux as well, so maybe that's the problem.
