Well I'm glad it wasn't just me. Daughter reports light fittings moving,
gentle creaking noise and cat looking most concerned

Heard a loud noise in York which almost sounded like someone breaking into
the house but yes timing it, it did sound like the quake and people in a
house across from us looked out too. Oddly, didn't feel any shaking.

Regards,
Far

Felt it here too Stoke on Trent.

Not much experience but if force alone counts it was a 3 but as it
only lasted a couple of seconds at most it is probably a 2.

The BGS site was unobtainable and I have spent the last 3/4 hrs trying
to find somewhere else reporting it. Server not found yet either:

Small period of disorientation here in London which was bizar windows
creaked slightly and then a noise in the kitchen. I sat down at the
computer to find my TV shaking. Having survived the Dudley Earthquake it's
relief I've got through this one.

As ever Sky is flashing BRIGHT RED and interviewing people who've needed a
cup of tea to calm down.

When I think about it, I think there was a noise associated with the
event.
