Default NE Cumbria - dry spell

I have had no measurable rainfall now since the 4th May apart from a
couple of "trace" days which didnt have any impact on what is very dry
ground. Total rainfall just 6mm. Average for May is 67mm

I was expecting a wet Tuesday but todays forecasts has the rain
fragmenting again as it heads North, so a record still maybe on the
cards. ( of course now I have posted this its bound to rain )

Hi, Paul,
Same over this side, just 4.4mm so far but I'm expecting some off the
North Sea on Wednesday.

People in the south are moaning about too much rain this holiday, people in
the north are excited about how dry it is, I love these British summers!

105.6 mm so far this month up here in Haytor (wetter than normal).

Just 5.2mm recorded here in Leeds, with 4.4mm of that on 4th May.
The prediction for today here was wet and windy, but no sign of any rain
yet.
