Default windy in Blackheath

Is it just me or has this summer's fine weather - when available - been
accompanied by more wind than usual? I usually manage the odd afternoon
hour sitting in the garden reading, but this summer seem to have been
eternally dodging twigs and petals and now and then a plastic chair,
while vainly trying to keep a book open. Newspapers quite out of the
question!
