Whilst I have enjoyed the quiet, benign weather over the past
couple of weeks or so, I look forward with some anticipation
to conditions next Friday. A sequence of cold fronts appear
to be coming down on Thu/Fri giving a proper northerly by
Friday and the promise of a cold night.
I suspect that a ground frost will be widespead on Saturday
morning and an air frost from northern England northwards.

Did you expect such conditions, 20C and sunny with light
winds to persist indefinately?
You're the one who's 'bonkers', mate.

This season is called 'autumn'. We've had the mellow fruitfulness
this past couple of weeks, now it's time for gales and later on,
frost. All perfectly normal for the time of year.

Lordy NO I certainly dont expect the sort of recent conditions to last, they
are your words, being put into my mouth. The bonkers bit is because you have
said you look forward with some anticipation to these (A sequence of cold
fronts coming down on Thu/Fri giving a proper northerly by Friday and the
promise of a cold night.) conditions next Friday.

How anyone can positively enjoy the thought of THAT is beyond me but worse
still, is to actually post about it as well
I wouldnt have even given it a second thought to have done that over a such
minor event as a bit of an early October frosty night.
And they are my words coming from my mouth.

Why wait:
http://wmc.meteoinfo.ru/losev-forc ?

That Low that was so interesting up near Iceland and now entering
Norway is the start of things UKlateral.

I suspect that a ground frost will be wide-spead on Saturday
morning and an air frost from northern England northwards.

Don't Scandinavian Lows produce warm weather then?

I forget.

I suppose it depends how far south they come and their angle of
attack? (Or do I mean incidence?)

Tempting..........not ;-))

Putting off the cold weather as much as is possible suits me just fine.

In my little dream world, and given the opportunity, I'd never
experience winter again.

Hope I haven't I said something sacrilegious for this group, no offence
meant ;-)
