A max of 17.7°C this afternoon making this the warmest day so far this year
after a chilly start with an overnight minimum of 1.7°C.

Another day of unbroken sunshine (11.2 hours) which has taken the total for
the month so far up to a more respectable 86.2 hours.

The sun has felt much stronger today as there was less haze. Starting to see
people walking around with sunburnt faces.

Nice to see the SSTs edging their way back up to the levels they were at
this time last year after being way below for most of the autumn and winter.

Averages for the month so far (1st - 17th) are venturing well into +ve
temperature anomaly territory.

Mean Min 4.0°C
Mean Max 12.4°C
Mean 8.2°C

(19:10), 9.4°C, RH 69%, DP 4.4°C, 1034 hPa (S), Wind 1 mph E.
