Default Why no Weather warning ?

Here in NW Cambs, we have received more rainfall in last 6 hrs than in
previous 6 months. 36 mm so far. absolute stair rods. Amber warning
only appeared at 1600. What is the point of a warning whilst an event
is occurring ???

That can't be right, surely - do you mean "previous 6 weeks"? I know it's
not quite the same area, but Cambdridge Botanic Garden had nearly that
much in March alone:

Was is dangerous rain? If that's the case UKMO should be ashamed and put on
trial.

36 mm in the last 6 months? You cannot be serious. There is
no indication in your post that the heavy rain caused a problem which
may have been averted given sufficient warning so why don't you just
sit back (indoors) and enjoy the downpour. In any case a glance at
the sky before the event may have told you something, such as "get the
washing in" or "prepare to operate windscreen wiper".
