Default Not hot in Canterbury ... yet

Of course, it's still early days yet, but the top temperature that I've
recorded in Canterbury so far this year is 24.4C on 25 May. This month
has only reached 24.2C on 14 June so far. Each of the previous four
years have topped that with the lowest May/June max in 2005-8 being
24.8C in June 2007.

I guess it's not that unusual but despite the low maxima, this year
already [subjectively!] feels better than last...
