Continuous rain and drizzle most of the day, sometimes moderate to heavy. A
few sunny intervals this afternoon, but now drizzly again this evening. Bit gusty last night but only a F5. Rainfall 22.6 mm (which is not a lot for these parts from a depression). Max. temp 17.0C Vegetation sopping wet again and grass growing furiously :-( Will (Haytor, Devon, 1017 feet asl) -- |

The sun managed to shine a bit this afternoon. Rather windy first thing though with frequent gusts over 30 mph. (19:20), 17.3°C, RH 87%, DP 15.1°C, 1008 hPa (R), Wind 3 mph SSW. ________________ Nick. Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |

Nothing special in the temperatures either. I was in the office much of the time, so it didn't bother me but I got wet loading the car, then again shopping in Newton Abbot on the way home - where the weather was particularly foul for a while. The top stayed up on the car! Sopping wet this morning on the grass and the cars due to a heavy dew. 7mm of rain in Teignmouth yesterday. http://www.greatweather.co.uk/teignmouth/past_week.html Looking forward to a better weekend and Bank Holiday Holiday Monday. Not wall-to-wall sunshine, but plenty of it. Saturday and Monday look the best days down here. A Dartmoor excursion could be in order! |

What is your problem with one-upmanship? Stuart |

Sometimes when it is lovely and clear, hardly ever when it is warm, sunny or unusually dry, I'll leave that to others. "Bill" was a high interest system and I thought that meteorologists might be interested in what rainfall in the upland SW was. Was it the highest total in the SW? I haven't a clue, but I doubt it.
