He's really sticking his neck out this time. I still wonder about
these long-range forecasts. Philip Eden's forecast for November has
proved to be hopelessly wrong - I'm not having a pop at you, Philip,
just an observation

Seen it weeks ago, discussed it, given odds on it not being correct
and dismissed it as pure, attention-seeking, speculation. IMO, Your
guess would be just as valid, Ronald.

Well I'm happy with all the good news on here tonight. Global Warming's been
cancelled and there's going to be loads of snow in the South East. Happy
days ;-)

And I've heard that there will be an announcement tomorrow by the French FA
that they will be withdrawing from the World Cup forthwith and have sent a
request to FIFA that their place be taken by Eire.

In addition to that, my spies also tell me that the senior management of all
the UK banks will be appearing on Children in Need tonight dressed in
sackcloth-and-ashes and will be donating all their bonuses to the fund.

Absolutely superb. I don't care whether it's wrong or right, he's stuck
his neck out and left you with no doubt as to what sort of winter he's
predicting, and personally I have a sneaky feeling he may be right.
Interesting how apart from the UKMO long range forecast, other models
are pointing to more severe than Joe's prediction. As I said before,
I'll be out the Country for a good part of February, so it's sod's law
theory.

A telephone poll for a public execution would make far more money,
plus for a first time we'd have some accountability. After all it's you
& me that are going to foot the bill while that lot still live a life of
reilly. !
