Default [WR] Bewdley - an unexciting start!

Currently dry (the radar says otherwise, but it is!) and 3.0°C, warmer
than at any time for at least 24 hours! Given reports of rain or sleet
even for higher parts of S Wales this morning, this may not exactly be an
earth-shattering event for the lowland west Midlands. But we'll see.

Yes it looking like one of those 'oh dear it's gone tits up again'

Overcast here with light rain (Weston Coyney) temperature already up to 2.4c
I can't see a lot happening to be honest even though we are in the met
office red zone warning for snow!!!
Can see all warnings changing very soon

So the blizzard of 2009 never got started

Plenty of rain on the radar over the W.Midlands - but none reaching the
surface - most of it is 1-6km altitude but evaporating on the way down,
which is odd since the dew points are not that low. No precipitation as yet
in Droitwich and temperatures ~3.5C...

Yep plenty of rain on Radar, with one band of moderate rain having
past over Solihull and heading north.
Yet not even drizzle at the surface!
Snow shovel now back in the shed.

I'm wondering how reliable that AWS is when this appears in it:-)

Rainfall This Month 0.6 mm Rainfall This Year 79.5 mm

The temps look ok though.

Oops try again

Hi Mike

Yes had problems with the rain gauge wireless transmitter, so
attempted to edit the log files and made err a right mess of it 

When I get time I will give it another go, all in all the station
seems ok (for a Maplins one) and readings concur well with B’ham
Airport
