Global Recession, Obama blaming the 'fatcats' yet here is an army of
Democrats showing extreme prudence with the ailing American tax payers money
.. Yes folks those brave brave fighters against AGW climbed on that
bandwagon as it slipped and slithered over the snow covered street of
Copenhagen in Denmark to help deliver a climate deal that thankfully failed.
Not that it mattered to these hypocrites

I particularly liked congressman Heny Waxmans feeble response to awkward
questions about the bill for the Liberla tree huggers for congress. He said

"it was awfully cold and I didn't look at it as a pleasure trip"

Awfully cold !!!! Oh the irony and rather grotesque.

By the way CBS news not Fox

I thought the general consensus was that as long as it was prefixed
people were happy?

Read the charter

Okay AGW Off Topic for UK sci.weather but on topic for UKMO. I see .

I would also add its impossible to discuss AGW without the politics .

You are quite wrong. The charter encourages discussion of
climate topics "from a scientific standpoint and not a political (or
environmental-activist) one." What's difficult about that?

Finally are you personally going to police my posts but ignore the others?

No. But I don't necessarily see all of "the others".

Oh, no it isn't - it's a technical subject and in this group it
should be discussed as such. There are plenty of places where you can
vent your spleen politically.

Lawrence; why don't you present evidence that GW is not happening,
instead of trying to fit GW (or, as you feel, the lack of it) to your
own polical and constantly complaining agenda. Or is railing against
the political machine easier than presenting and justifying that
evidence?

You've provided snapshots of times when there are temporary lulls in
the warming; in fact you've made a habit of it. Not a single one of
them has led to anything, as the present global temperatures, ice
cover, CO2 increases, migration of species, sea level rises etc. etc.
continue. None of these have shown the trends that they would be
showing if the world had *stopped* warming and you, in particular,
have recently been very quiet about all of them. Probably because they
don't fit what you dearly wish to see.

Your only defence of your beliefs is this constant harping about
politics, with which you try, albeit hopelessly unsuccessfully, to
muddy the waters.

If the world is warming - and all the responses shown by the items in
that short list I've provided above, shows that it is........maybe the
politicians are entirely correct in their attempts to limit it? Or
maybe that would stick far too far down your craw Lawrence to even
entertain the possibility.

Anyway, come on, forget the politics. Your political referrals are
becoming annoying to many. Instead - show us that you can justify
whatever evidence you can find for the world having stopped warming.

And what would those political views be Natsman? They are so "thinly
disguised" that you have no idea of my politics. You know I am a GW
sceptic and you know my stance on the present state of GW, but you
only know some of the things I *don't* like about political matters
and I don't like far right-wing grumpy old men's politics. 8))

Same advice as to Lawrence; talk about how the world is not warming,
if you feel it isn't. Try to justify your position on that, instead of
bringing your own political view into almost everything you post -
please?

C'mon guys ... the problem with pointing out that a post
is off-topic is that any thread which develops from it will
quickly become off-topic too.

This is a .sci newsgroup, not a .politics one. Let's keep
it that way. There are lots and lots and lots of other places
to post if you want to go down that route. There are very
few places to post if you want to stick to the science.

There must be some kind of law for that. Like "Godwin's Law" for the
eventual outcome of protracted Internet argument. *))

Agree entirely, but you can bet your life that the usual suspects will
try to superimpose their poilitical agendae instead of discussing the
facts, or the science, as they see it. Maybe they'll think a little
before the next foray - but don't hold your breath!

That's it Philip we're through.
Could you please return my Christmas presents: the signed by
Christpher Booker ''The Real Global warming Disaster' and the leopard
skin covered hand crafted Kenyan mpingo wood barometer . Howver you
can keep the ' Tudor Huges Plays Bach's Brandenburg Concerto on the
trombone' CD as I have the DVD anyway.
