Default WIndows 7 and Outlook express

Hi all - A bit OTT but here goes....
I would just like to confirm how people on here access this newsgroup. I
have always used Outlook Express, but I see this will not run on Windows 7
that I wish to install on my PC. I'm sure there must be a way to view UK
Sci weather without the need to use Outlook Express. Is anyone running
windows 7 and accessing this Newgroup. If so how are you connecting?

Thanks

As flybywire is doing, I'm using Windows Live Mail - it's just Outlook
Express under a new name.

I'd recommend Mozilla Thunderbird over MS products any time. Outlook
Express is a step up from Google Groups but still doesn't do the basics
very well. For instance, it doesn't cope when replying to Google
postings in that it doesn't distinguish between them and the reply.

Mozilla Thunderbird. I also use Mozilla Firefox as browser. I expect
they run under W7, though I use Linux.

I'm still using Windows XP, but these Wikipedia articles may help to
suggest candidates to investigate:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Usenet_newsreaders
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compari...et_newsreaders

You will need to click on the links to the articles about individual
newsreaders to check whether they will work under Windows 7.

Hi Rob

I used to use Mozilla Thunderbird but I found Windows Live Mail easier to
use regarding the layout/structure of the posts. Plus it has a few other
neat ideas and tricks that Thunderbird doesn't have.

You can download Windows Live Mail he

Rob.
When I migrated from Vista to 7, I was disappointed to find out there was
not an inclusive e-mail program included, so I downloaded Windows Live Mail.
From which you can access this newsgroup as in the old Outlook Express.

Best regards.

Len.
