Here is a summary of the latest NWP output for noon (GMT) on Sunday.
Issued 0450z, 1/09/10. Easterlies or ESE'lies will affect the UK early next week, with rain in southwestern areas spreading NE'wards. ECMWF: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Recm1201.gif SE'lies cover the UK, with a high to the NE and a low to the west. Nothing much changes on day 6, but by day 7 low pressure moves ESE'wards over France. This leads to easterlies across the UK. MetO: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif The Met Office run brings ESE'lies on days 5 and 6, with the UK between a high to the NE and a low to the west. GFS: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png The UK lies under SE'lies, with a high to the NE and a low to the WNW. A secondary low forms to the south on day 6, bringing strong easterlies for all. Another low moves in from the west on day 7, with rain spreading across the UK. GEM: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rgem1201.gif SE'lies cover the UK, again with a high to the NE and a low to the west. JMA: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rjma1201.gif As with GEM, a SE'ly flow covers the UK. |
