Issued 0446z, 4/09/10. A trough is likely to cross the UK during the weekend, resulting in rain spreading eastwards to affect all areas. ECMWF: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Recm1201.gif Southerlies cover the UK with a low to the NW. There's little change on day 6, buy by day 7 a trough crosses Scotland and westerlies affect the UK as a result. MetO: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rukm1201.gif The Met Office run shows a trough to the west and southerlies for the UK. The trough moves eastwards on day 6, with WSW'lies following behind. GFS: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rtavn1201.png The UK lies under SW'lies, ahead of a trough to the west. This moves eastwards on day 6, with westerlies for all. A weak ridge brings WNW'lies on day 7. GEM: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rgem1201.gif SSW'lies cover the UK due to a low to the west. JMA: http://www.wzkarten.de/pics/Rjma1201.gif As with GEM, a low to the west brings southerlies for all. |
