Default Temp continues to go down Nr Manchester

I Live between Manchester and Bolton.

The temperature is the lowest I have seen at this time of the year and
time of day. 20.15 at it is -3.5 and falling and I am only 5 miles
from city centre Manchester and 5 miles from Bolton centre.

Gareth,

Unusually cold spell this. In Rossendale at the moment the temperature
is -6.1C (albeit over a dusting of snow cover). The forecast models are
suggesting further snowfall in the coming week with a strengthening easterly
flow. By next weekend there is a suggestion of lighter winds and with this
snow cover in the UK and the fact that this cold air has been resident for
so long, we really could get some very low night minima.
