Default SE Snow tonight ?

Where exactly is this going to come from, more showers off the North
Sea or something developing off the continent? I think it's a North
Sea fetch again.

Currently -0.6°C
DP -3.3°C

Apparently from an "upper vortex" coming around the low from the east
- the NAE model seems to be signalling more snow than was modelled
previously, although along a very similar track to yesterday's
"streamer", namely from the Thames estuary down to the Solent, but
over a slightly more extensive area. From my point of view, that's
still a little bit too far south.

Although there doesn't seem to be much on the radar upwind of us -
http://www.meteox.com/h.aspx?r=&jaar=-3&soort=loop1uur - the 12Z chart -
http://www.wetterzentrale.de/topkarten/fsbeobl.html - shows some stations
over Germany and S Denmark with snow.

I see from a satellite loop - http://www.sat24.com/gb - that upper cloud is
moving northwards over southern England, which suggests warm air advection
aloft. This may dampen down showers but could be a sign that dynamic
activity will develop.

Peter Cockroft on LBC just warned that areas most at risk are to east
and south of London - more or less a repeat of last night...

Graham,

Could you please explain what happens in 'dynamic activity' ?

Thanks
