![]() I am so envious of those you in the south reporting 3-4 cm of snow. The average depth in my garden is still 36 cm. Maximum yesterday -1.9C, minimum last night -5.3C - higher than of late because of a gentle breeze. Things are desperate now for both humans but particularly animals. The bolder blackbirds now take sultanas from my hand. Unfortunately it's down to rationing as I have hardly any left. I'm going to make another attempt at a breakout today, and if that doesn't work it's going to have be a long walk in search of a mythical beast called a "bus". There are rumours of food shortages in the Big City itself. This morning walking out of my front door I got attacked by an icicle. I hope we'll all be cheering Altnaharra on tonight. We had -8C here in Perth last night and it's still -8C at the moment. Jacquie. |

We managed another paltry 0.5cm last night in south Oxon, barely dusting the ground in most places. It is quite surreal watching the news of places not that far away buried in snow and we have had none at all to speak of. |

And snowing heavily if I can make Perth out under the radar ... but it is here too now. -- Trevor Icicled in Lundie, near Dundee http://www.personal.dundee.ac.uk/~taharley/ |
