Just got back from an enforced very long weekend staying at my son's in
Epping. Epping was cold and slippery as reported elsewhere but here on Holy Island there's at least 10cm snow. The causeway has a several cm layer of frozen slush on it making it very difficult to get over on low tide. Given sea water freezes at around minus 2 C and the tide washes over the causeway twice a day it's obviously been quite cold here in my absence. -- The ex-Meteorologist formerly known as Purbeckview (saving up fo one day buy an auto weather station!) |
