Overnight min of -4.8°C, presumably the freezing fog/low cloud prevented it
getting much lower. As of 1300Z it's -2.9°C which is also the max thus far. Quite remarkable for here really given no snow cover and only mist/stratus present. Jon. (east Devon) |

Surely the minimum temperatures on the North Norfolk coast are also a rare event so early in the year. Dave |

It was an Ice Day here in Teignmouth with my garden thermometer not
getting above -0.1c, and that was with some exposure to the sun before the cloud rolled. Confirmed by the Teignmouth AWS http://www.greatweather.co.uk/teignmouth/past_day.html It's now -2.8c at 18:50 |
