Default [WR] Snowing in central London

Just started at 11.35, courtesy of that old "Cheshire Gap". Not
particularly heavy, but with frozen pavements here all morning,
there's some chance it will stick in places, I suppose.

Looking at the radar, I suspect that 1mm rain equivalent is going to
be an under-estimate. We shall see.

Quite a shower in Blackheath - lying on frozen ground, about an inch?
Enough to give a pretty cover. Just at the moment of writing (12:48),
it seems to have stopped.

Comments on some weather groups elsewhere suggest that a small polar low
has formed and is approaching London. Circulation can be seen on Hi Res
sat imagery. I am not competent to know if that's what it is but it does
look like it to my untrained eye :-)

I watched a video forcast on the BBC website ( I hate the graphics
these days, bring back the cloud symbols ), and it said London would
be cold and dry. Reality is heavy snow......

Hi MahFL, it's not been that hot in Florida this last week, has the
frost affected the Oranges?
