Just started at 11.35, courtesy of that old "Cheshire Gap". Not
particularly heavy, but with frozen pavements here all morning, there's some chance it will stick in places, I suppose. - Tom London W1 |

Quite a shower in Blackheath - lying on frozen ground, about an inch? Enough to give a pretty cover. Just at the moment of writing (12:48), it seems to have stopped. -- Kate B PS 'elvira' is spamtrapped - please reply to 'elviraspam' at cockaigne dot org dot uk if you want to reply personally |

Comments on some weather groups elsewhere suggest that a small polar low
has formed and is approaching London. Circulation can be seen on Hi Res sat imagery. I am not competent to know if that's what it is but it does look like it to my untrained eye :-) On 17/12/2010 12:05, David G wrote: On Dec 17, 12:03 pm, Alan wrote: It was forecast on the NAEhttp://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000... I watched a video forcast on the BBC website ( I hate the graphics
these days, bring back the cloud symbols ), and it said London would be cold and dry. Reality is heavy snow...... |
