Doesn't seem to be any mention about that low in the channel, surely
at least the SE of Kent will get snow. Trying to work out what it's
doing as it looks more potent on the IR loop.

Yes, it does look to be edging northwards a bit - could be one to keep
an eye on.

I have the radar zoomed on on the SE:
http://www.raintoday.co.uk/
and from Weymouth to Brighton the precipitation line is pushing north,
almost as far as the Isle of Wight now.
Some bright echos in France, so it could pull a punch yet, probably
not. We have a party this afternoon, so am looking at things very
closely.

The forecast on BBC TV this morning mentioned snow fringing the south
coast, but the presenter didn't seem to think that it would get very far
inland.

Looking out to the East over the sea here at Margate there is
definitely a wall of snow coming down from very dark cloud. Might just
get a few flurries here later today.

At 10:10am it was falling as light snow at the west end of the Isle of
Wight.

A few flakes of snow starting to fall here now, on the coast 5 miles east of Brighton. Looking out to sea the proper snow is only a few miles out.
Very murky out there.
Temp currently -1c
