I suppose it could have come in that large rise between 11am and noon. Is it just a coincidence that -15.8C was the hourly figure for 5pm yesterday? |

They do not appear in the OGIMET list however http://www.ogimet.com/cgi-bin/gsynre...min=0&ndays=30 Actual maximum today seems to have been 2.0°C. Colin Youngs Brussels |

Interesting, RK. I wonder if Colin could clarify which periods are covered by the night minimum and daily maximum figures. Do the daily figures represent a 24-hour period? Regards, Roger |

Looks like a genuine temperature rise then around midday. (There's just been another jump of 4.5C between 2100 and 2200: now up to -14.0C!) |

Colin Youngs Brussels The figures have to be treated with some caution as they are not comparable to the "standard" reporting periods of 0900-0900z or 0900-2100 (day max) and 2100-0900 (night min). In particular, in winter the minimum temperature often occurs after 0600z and will therefore not be reported in the SYNOPs. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. |
