Default Thursday

Its still a bit early, but looking at the NAE for t+42 to T+48 the
snowfall for Devon could be prodigious. There are indications for 6 to
8 inches, even down to low levels. The key is the cold under-cutting
air at 950mb. See how the temperatures drop from 18Z Thursday to 00Z
Friday. No doubt that by midday Friday the main event will be over,
but not before possible major disruption. This winter is full of
surprises and even though there is likely to be some mobility it is at
fairly low latitudes and the high level block remains.
