Yes a fall from 19C to 6C within an hour, apparently with no more than
light rain!

I was thinking particularly of the fall from 27°C to -1°C less than 24 hours
later ... and 19°C to -11°C at Abilene

Hi everyone from a very cold and snowy Nebraska. Yesterday we had
freezing rain with the temperature at around 24F, but it sooned turned
to snow and we have had over 24 hours now of continuous, mainly light
snow. The temperature has now dropped to about 10F and with a wind
gusting to 40MPH the blowing snow is something to behold. Many of the
interstates have been closed due to accidents and quite deep drifts
that cover the highway. The snow is so dry that it blows around like
sand and the wind chill is amazing. The snow is now easing off, but
the wind will stay strong to gale so the snow will be blowiing around
for a good while yet. I have often wondered what a mid plains snow
storm was like, now I know. The temperature is forecast to fall to
around -14F so that is something to look forward to.
See ya

The latter is actually a fall from 19F to -11C, which is considerably
less impressive. You have to be careful with the units with US sites.

Indeed you do, but, at the time I looked yesterday evening, there had been a
fall from 19°C to -11°C within 24 hours. The 19°C reading has now dropped
off the bottom of the list !
