Default ECMWF, zonal train ends...

Sounds great... sign me on for a "weather weekend" I'll drive over from the Isle of Wight. Hope it includes a quick tour of the moors and a cup of tea!

You know what Mike. Once I retire I could really organise something like
that!
A session in the morning, a walk in the afternoon and some beers in the
evening!
Might be best done in summer when the rain and mist are warm :-)

If I could have West Country cider instead of beer, I might be tempted.
But I don't drive, so would need picking up from the nearest point
reachable by public transport.

Another vote for that idea from me too.

Anyone for a wild camp out on Dartmoor after the beers!?

Cheers

Definitely not! Even as a young man, I hated the idea of camping.

I do know a place to camp not far from a pub at over 1400 feet and just a
few miles from my house.

You couldn't do it in winter - you'd run the risk of fights breaking
out between the coldies and mildies every time a new set of model runs
are released

That sounds like a great place. I was hoping to find that they did B&B,
but judging by their website they don't.
